Bruins drop opener in NAHL Showcase

BLAINE – The Austin Bruins couldn’t get much offense going as they lost their season opener to Amarillo 5-2 in the NAHL Showcase in Blaine Wednesday.
The Bruins (0-1 overall) mustered just one shot in the third period as Amarillo tacked on three goals in the period to take over. Austin had just 15 total shots on goal.
Nicholas Lehr had 38 saves for the Bruins.
