Pat Hanson, 78, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Austin, Minn., died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Shorewood Senior Campus, Rochester.

Pat was born on July 5, 1934, in Austin, Minn., to Lester and Helen (Brimacomb) Hatch. She spent most of her life in Austin. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. She enjoyed helping others and in her spare time she liked to cross-stitch and watch sports. Pat was a homemaker for many years and she loved her family very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents Chic and Helen Hatch.
Pat is survived by her husband, Ed Hanson, Austin; children, Tim (Filamena Lopez) Hanson, Julie (Terry) Johnson; brother, Jerry (DeVonne) Hatch; sister, Carol (Tom) Stiffler; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Todd Portinga, AiM officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church for one hour before the service. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
