I don’t know how many of you on the advancing side of life had an opportunity to visit the Sterling Theater this last week. I was invited to come to it with my wife, and its quite seldom that I attend. However it was a Sunday, a quiet Sunday, and I agreed to go along.

I’m not big on theater action these days and all the extra blah that is shown. However this movie was different from most. It was about a couple well on in years with their children grown. He has a business that took most of his attention and his wife, I think, was perhaps wishing for more.

They went to a beach area and began to meet with a marriage counselor. That was a challenge. I don’t know if it’s still playing. If it is, you might be interested.

As for this new week, a highlight for me was making a stop at The Coffee House on Main where I spent my time reading the front page of the Tribune.

I was sitting at the small table where Meridee sits reading. However, I was finishing the saying quickly so I could get the paper to Meridee when she came in.

I was able to finish Joseph Brodsky’s quote: “After all, it is hard to master both life and work equally well. So if you are bound to fake one of them, it had better be life.”

Just in the nick of time. I got the Trib on her desk and we chatted a bit before peddling to Grinder’s for a grinder.

At this point, if you were here, you would be listening to Mello and Fred howling together, stirred by the sirens passing by.

Fred was instrumental in creating the howling game. It was a new practice for Mello. But now she has it down. I would like to have a tape recorder to score the harmony.
