Harley Jensen, 90, Sun City, Ariz., and formerly of Albert Lea, passed away Nov. 1, 2012, at Arizona Buttes Assisted Living, Peoria, Ariz. Harley was born Jan 18, 1922, in Albert Lea, son of Nellie and Thomas Jensen.
Harley married Helen (Sherrod) Jensen on Oct. 25, 1941, in Hayward. Helen and Harley made so many friends over the years owning and operating “Harley’s Roller Rink” and later “Skateway” in Albert Lea during the middle ’40s, ’50s, ’60s.
Harley was preceded in death by his wife Helen in February 2012. Helen and Harley are now back together after recently celebrating their 70th anniversary in October 2011.
Harley has two sons: Wayne and his wife, Sandy, of Sun City, Ariz., and Larry from Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren: Troy (Esther) Jensen, Tami Jensen, both living in Peoria, Ariz., Adonia (Dayne Downy) of Tucson, Ariz., Amanda Jensen and Anina Jensen both of Houston, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and many many dear friends.
The memorial will be Monday at Wayne Jensen’s home in Sun City, Ariz.
