Charlotte LuCarmen Lillie, 84, of Austin, Minn, died Friday evening, Nov. 9, 2012, at Johanna Shores Assisted Living in Arden Hills, Minn.

Charlotte was born May 12, 1928, the daughter of Knute and Clara (Moger) Knutson in Fillmore County, Minnesota. She attended country school near Lanesboro, Minn. Charlotte was united in marriage to Roy L. Lillie at Mason City, Iowa. They raised three children. She liked singing, playing the guitar and bass. She performed with Roy Lillie & Little Green Valley Gang on their TV show as well as at dances and traveled to Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Eagles, and she volunteered at St. Mark’s and the Salvation Army.

Survivors include three children, JoAnn (Richard) Fox of River Falls, Wis., LuAnn (Richard) Spencer of Solvang, Calif., and LeRoy (Heidi) Lillie of Austin; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Darrell (Doris) Knutson, Rochester, Kermit (Joyce) Knutson, Spring Valley; one sister, Mary Ann (Harvey) Knapp, Masons City, Iowa; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Evangelical Free Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, with the Rev. Hillmore Williams, officiating. Interment will follow the service in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at the Worlein Funeral Home of Austin and one hour prior to the service at the church.
