Clarence William Pesch, 89, of Waltham, died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 6, 2012, at Park Place Assisted Living in Owatonna, Minn.

Clarence was born Aug. 3, 1923, to William and Dora (Reinke) Pesch in Waltham Township, Mower County, Minn., where he grew up and attended school. He served in the Army during World War II from Jan. 15, 1945, until Nov. 30, 1946. He married Dolores Granquist on June 25, 1950, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, rural Waltham. They made their home in Waltham their entire married life. Clarence worked at Huntting Elevator in Waltham before going to work for Hormel Foods. A member of Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Waltham and American Legion Post 330 in Hayfield, he enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, fishing, bowling, old time music, dancing and spending time with the family.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda (Dennis) Fisher of Owatonna, Lori (Cullen) Taylor of Zumbro Falls, Minn.; LuAnn (Mark) Callahan of Mason City, Iowa; Lisa (Victor) Burgeson of Rosemount, Minn.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Glenn (Alice) Pesch of Hayfield, Gilbert (Phyllis) Pesch of Lees Summit, Miss., James (Marcia) Pesch of Waltham; sister, Delores Hahold of St. Paul, Minn.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores; three siblings, Florence, Dorothy and Norman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Waltham with the Rev. Jeffrey Kuddes officiating. Interment is at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Waltham with military rites by American Legion Post 330 of Hayfield.
