Doris J. Hulet, 69, of Austin, Minn., died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in Austin.

Doris June Fardella was born June 16, 1943, in the Bronx, N.Y., to Daniel and Antoinette (Suppa) Fardella. After attending James Monroe High School in New York City, she attended classes at NYU. She worked as a secretary at an advertising firm in New York City, where she met John Charles Hulet while he was in the Navy. They were married on Oct. 29, 1967, in New York City, and lived there for a while before moving to Austin. Doris worked in Austin in retail sales, attended Crane Community Chapel, enjoyed gardening and collecting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially enjoyed spoiling them.

Survivors include her husband, John “Charlie” Hulet of Austin; children Michelle (Jeff) Bos of Austin, John Daniel (Amy) Hulet of Jordan, Minn., Jennifer (Michael) Schwertfeger of Mankato, Minn.; her mother, Antoinette Fardella of New York; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Shelby, Jack, Joseph, Autumn, Emaleigh, Grace, Faith and Joshua; siblings, Dan (Sylvia) Fardella and Iris (Ralph) Prager, both of New York, and Joe (Adrienne) Fardella of Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Fardella.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, Minn., with Pastor Dale Christiansen officiating.
