Hockey: Packer girls fall to Huskies

OWATONNA — The Austin girls hockey team started slow in a 5-1 loss at Owatonna (3-3-1 overall, 3-1 Big Nine) Thursday.
Austin (1-8 overall, 0-5 Big Nine) had just three shot attempts in the first half as the Huskies rolled to a 3-0 lead in the frame.
“We came out pretty slow, but we picked it up for the rest of the game,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said.
Austin had 23 shots on goal and Mara Overby had 20 saves.
