The Austin wrestling team took eighth out of 12 teams at the Fillmore Central Holiday Invite Saturday.

Erick Power took second for the Packers at 120 pounds, Devon Felten was second at 128, Brennen Russell was fourth at 132, Braden Eggum was fifth at 145 and Mitch Tebay took sixth at 170.

We had a long, rough day at this tournament,” Austin head coach Bill Kinney said. “Even with a veteran team, you are sometimes going to have days when very little goes the way it should. Saturday was one of those days. We had a few bad results early in the tournament, and we just couldn’t seem to get the momentum back on our side as the day progressed.”

Eggum had three pins and went 3-1 as his lone loss was in the first round.
