Funeral services for Shaughnessy “Joe” McNamara will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 19, 2012, at The Lime Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Candraeah Carey officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lime Springs. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday for 1hr prior to the service. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Shaughn “Joe” McNamara, 56, of Lime Springs, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Rochester Methodist Hospital. He was born Sept. 3, 1956, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Francis and Wilma “Blue” (Loar) McNamara. He attended and graduated from Immaculata High School in Leavenworth and was United in Marriage to Kristine “Kristy” Walker on April 18, 1981, at the Presbyterian Church in Lime Springs. Joe worked as the plant manager for Fred Carlson Co., Knife River and Croel Redi Mix Plant in LeRoy for over 25 years. Joe had a great sense of humor, he enjoyed hunting, bike rides on his Harley Davidson, spending time with his friends, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife Kristy of Lime Springs, three children, Chantal (Troy) Granahan and grandkids Liam and Audrey of Ankeny, Iowa, Denny McNamara of Lime Springs and Meghan Hill and grandkids Kolton and Nolan of Ankeny, Iowa; three sisters, Collen (Jim Philen) McNamara of Stillwater, Minn., Rose (Fred More) McNamara of Forest Lake, Minn., and Marlene (Eddie Lopez) McNamara of San Diego, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter Ryleigh Marie Hill.
