9) Rebel girls finish the job

The Southland girls basketball team used its 12th straight win to lock up a piece of school history when it beat Chatfield 68-64 to win its first Three Rivers Conference title since joining the conference in 2001.

As they had all season, the Rebels showed their depth as four players scored in double figures in the historic win.

Jana Schammel, who is now a senior, had a big night as she finished with 19 points, three assists and four steals.
