5) The 2012 Superlarks were a team in every sense of the word
In the regular season, Grand Meadow suffered various injuries but it rarely missed a beat as someone was always willing to step up.
But by the time the playoffs came, the Superlarks were rolling. GM avenged an earlier loss to Spring Grove by beating them in the section title game, then it beat Mountain Lake Area 34-20 and topped South Ridge 61-6, before falling to Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley 40-22 in the title game.
The main thing GM did to separate itself from past Lark teams is it began to embrace the pass a little more.
Junior Trenton Bleifus finished with 2,272 yards passing and 33 TDs with four interceptions while rushing for 870 yards and 17 TDs.
GM also got a boost from sophomore running back Landon Jacobson, who racked up 1,833 total yards and 19 TDs.
