The first time the Austin boys basketball team played Owatonna last season, the game almost looked more like a wrestling match as a lot of contact was allowed.

That game ended with Owatonna winning 39-34 after Austin had led by seven with 10 minutes to go, but the rematch was much different.

Austin’s Tom Aase who had just three points in the first matchup with Owatonna, finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals and four blocks in the 61-52 win for the Packers.

The win was one of many home victories for the Packers as Austin never lost a home game throughout the entire season last year.
