Janice Mae Hose, 80, Rockport, Texas

Janice Mae Hose, 80, of Rockport, Texas, and formerly of Bloomington, Minn., passed away peacefully Jan. 13, 2013, at the Rockport Coastal Care Center in Rockport.

Janice was born in Albert Lea, Minn., Oct. 26, 1932, to Willie and Alma Lestrud. Survived by husband of 59 years, Myrvin; daughter Michelle (Dave Winter) Durenberger; son Steve (Missy); three grandchildren, Laura (Ahren), Rick and Drake; brothers David (Rosemary) Lestrud and Howard (Judy) Lestrud; sisters-in-law Betty (Earl) Fredrickson, Phyllis (Arland) Averill and Nancy (Jim) Harper.

Janice was formerly employed at Hormel’s in Austin and Honolulu, Hawaii, at Sears & Roebuck in Minneapolis and at the Edina Country Club. Janice loved animals and always had a soft sport in her heart for her pet schnauzers. She was married to Myrvin Hose on Oct. 11, 1953.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Jan. 17 at the First Presbyterian Church of Rockport. Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes & Crematory, Rockport, was in charge of arrangements. Cards may be sent to Myrvin Hose, 604 Silverado St., Rockport, TX 78382.
