Rebel girls show depth in win over PEM

ADAMS — The Southland girls basketball team showed its depth as three players scored at least 15 points in a 78-70 win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville (10-5 overall, 6-4 Three Rivers) in Adams Thursday.

Haley Kirkpatrick scored 23 points and Megan Mullenbach became the fourth Southland player to score at least 19 in a game this season when she posted 19 in the win.

“We’ve got a lot of people who can score,” Southland head coach Bob Sheehan said. “We can spread the ball around.”

Jana Schammel added 15 points for the Rebels (10-2 overall, 9-1 Three Rivers).
