Mower County Sheriff’s deputies found more than what they were looking for when they executed a search warrant in LeRoy on Jan. 16.
Officers searched a home in the 500 block of North Broadway and found items that tested positive for methamphetamine, more than 100 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, grow lights, potting soil and plastic cups filled with potting soil. Furthermore, officers found $1,000 in tools that had allegedly been stolen from a construction site and two $600 burial vaults stolen from a LeRoy funeral home.
Officers on Tuesday arrested 29-year-old Steven John Holm, who was charged in Mower County Court with subsequent offenses for fifth-degree drug sale of marijuana and fifth-degree drug possession, along with possession of stolen property, all felonies.
