Mower Refreshed is getting ready to replace Adam Rees, outgoing chief administrative officer at Mayo Clinic Health System — Albert Lea and Austin.
Rees was co-chair of the Mower Refreshed steering committee since it first organized in 2010, as well as co-chair of the workforce wellness goals group.
Mower Refreshed coordinator Sandy Anderson said the group is looking at several candidates to replace Rees on the steering committee, and has already replaced him on the workforce wellness committee.
“The beauty of Mower Refreshed is that it’s citizen driven,” Anderson said. “Even though we’re going to miss him and appreciate all the work he’s done, our moving forward continues to be strong because of the work from our citizens and our county.”
Rees will become president at Essentia Health’s Central Region, and his last day in Austin is Friday. The hospital announced Wednesday that the Albert Lea hospital’s CAO, Stephen Waldhoff, will replace Rees.
Mower Refreshed is about to announce its first-ever Refreshed Business of the Year at the Austin Chamber of Commerce banquet later this month. The award will recognize businesses that are taking simple steps to help employees form healthy lifestyles.
