Shane DeSilva, seventh-grader at Pacelli, will advance to the Southeast Minnesota Final Spelling Bee.

Shane placed first at the regional bee on Feb. 12 in Rochester. He is one of 12 speller who advanced. The champion of the final will continue on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. from May 26 to June 1.
