Packer girls close season with a win

The Austin girls hockey team closed out its regular season with a 6-0 win over Mankato West (6-17-1 overall, 3-14 Big Nine) in Riverside Arena Friday.
Austin (8-17 overall, 7-10 Big Nine) finishes the season tied for fifth in the Big Nine Conference with Albert Lea as the Packers won four of their last six games.
“Right now we’re rocking pretty good and we’re ready for sections,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said.
Allison Hoban had 15 saves as she picked up her second shutout of the week.
Talynn Miller scored her first career varsity goal in the win for Austin.
