Austin’s Nate Williamson will defend his Brutaal Genesis 165-pound championship one more time.

Then he’s going pro.

Williamson will be fighting in the All-American Cage Fights, which is an amateur Mixed Martial Fighting event, at the Holiday Inn Event Center this Saturday at 7 p.m. and it will be his last fight in Austin.

“I’m really excited and I can’t even sleep at night this week,” said Williamson, who is 8-0 as an amateur.

Williamson will fight Bryan Mortensen on Saturday and after that fight he’ll be going pro as a fighter.

Williamson has been training steadily with some top trainers and he expects King of the Cage to be his first pro fight.

“I want to go all the way,” Williamson said.

Austin grad Thomas Herrera will also be fighting on Saturday as he defends his 185-pound title.
