The Sears in Austin has been named a 2013 Sears Hometown Premier Store.

This award recognizes Sears Hometown Stores across the country that consistently offers the highest levels of customer service, outstanding store performance and standards. At the end of last year, the Austin Sears was one of only 293 locations throughout the U.S. to receive this recognition.

Only 32 percent of Sears Hometown Stores receive this award, and this year, each store that did will participate in special events along with other Premier Stores.

Sears Hometown Stores combine the selection and services associated with larger retail stores but are owned and operated by a member of the local community. The Sears in Austin and Osage are owned by Cory Squier.
