Larry Peterson, 63, of South Beloit, Ill., died Sunday, March 10, 2013, in his home.

Larry was born March 2, 1950, to the late Charles and Doris (Hanson) Peterson in Austin, Minn. Larry served in the U.S. Navy. He recently retired from DTI manufacturing in Rockford and was active with St. Judes Children’s Hospital. Larry enjoyed watching old western movies and listening to country music. He also enjoyed golfing and was an avid Minnesota Viking fan. Larry loved a good family gathering and will be fondly remembered for his witty sense of humor.

He is survived by his six siblings, Sandra (Denis) Anderson, Diana Roser, David (Lu Anne) Peterson, Cynthia Peterson, Greg (Sandy) Peterson and Susan (David) Garry; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in law Kurt Roser.

Friends are invited to gather and celebrate Larry’s life on Thursday, March 14, 2013, from 10 a.m. until noon in the Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Please share a memory or a condolence with the Peterson family on our website.
