Forecasts call for light snow most of the day today, with a chance of freezing drizzle before temperatures begin to fall this evening toward a low of 4 degrees. Strong winds are also forecast, turning westerly and blowing 21 to 26 mph with gusts forecast as high as 37 mph.

MnDOT was reporting difficult driving conditions on Austin area roads at 6:30 a.m.
