Mayo Clinic Health System — Albert Lea and Austin is adding another family medicine doctor to its Austin location.

Dr. Jo Van Winter received her medical degree at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks,N.D., and completed family medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and family medicine residency training at Mayo Clinic. She is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Van Winter has more than 25 years of combined clinical experience in Family Medicine, OB/GYN and Pediatrics.

“I enjoy caring for all patients, particularly women and children” Van Winter said. “I wanted to get back into Mayo Clinic Health System since I previously worked at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin (previously Austin Medical Center) from 1999 to 2002. I’m looking forward to working with the care teams in Austin and Albert Lea.”
