Senior Center hosting Family Education Workshop

The Senior Center is hosting a Family Education Workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Are you caring for an aging loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia? This workshop will address:

Techniques to handle challenging behaviors and activities to encourage engagement.

Learn more about challenging behaviors that may be displayed by those with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, and find techniques to best manage difficult behaviors.

Also discover various ways to encourage your loved one to engage in activities.

Staying active has many benefits for a person with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Learn about activities for the mind, body, and soul and ways to engage your loved one.

This workshop is presented by Karen Hanson of Home Instead Senior Care.
