BYRON — Blooming Prairie senior Shelbi Swenson had another dominant performance as she allowed just one hit in a 3-0 win over Byron (0-1 overall) in a softball game on the road Tuesday.

The Bears had the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning and Swenson struck out the No. 2 and No. 3 hitters to get out of the jam. Each team had just one hit, but BP (2-0 overall) took advantage of two Byron errors.

“We did not hit well. Offensively, we weren’t really in a good rhythm,” BP head coach Ali Mach said. “On defense we made some good plays and Shelbi pitched a good game.”
