Minnesota Gophers football coach Jerry Kill and new basketball coach Richard Pitino are scheduled to be along for the ride when the Gopher Road Trip Chalk Talk stops in Austin at the Hormel Historic Home 5 p.m. June 3.

The event will bring select Gopher coaches and Goldy to Austin.

The meet and greet will take place from 5 to 5:45 p.m., a presentation by the coaches and athletic director Norwood Teague will take place from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. and another meet and greet will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Coaches scheduled to appear include Kill, Pitino, men’s hockey coach Don Lucia, men’s gymnastics coach Mike Burns, men’s swimming and diving coach Dennis Dale, women’s hockey coach Brad Frost, soccer coach Stefanie Golan, women’s swimming and diving coach Kelly Kremer, volleyball coach Hugh McCutcheon, women’s tennis coach Chuck Merbacher, women’s swimming and diving coach Terry Nieszner, women’s gymnastics coach Meg Stephenson and men’s tennis coach Geoff Young.

Gopher gear will be given away at the event, including Gopher hockey jerseys.

There will be complimentary appetizers, a cash bar and photo opportunities with Goldy and coaches.

The event is open to the public but anyone attending must pre-register at mygophersports.com/online/road-trip-austin. Space is limited to 200.
