The Austin Greyhounds opened their amateur baseball season with a 4-3 win over Waseca in Marcusen Park Wednesday.

The Hounds trailed 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth when Andy Swank hit a three-run homer over the right field fence to give Austin the lead for good.

Austin pitchers Alex Kasak, Joe Huffman, Nels Nelson and Zach Schara combined for 15 strikeouts in the win.
