Okello wins 300-meter hurdles, Packers take seventh at Big Nine boys track meet

ROCHESTER — The Packers finished in seventh place in the Big Nine track and field meet in Rochester Century Friday.
Austin senior Omot Okello won a Big Nine title in the 300-meter hurdles as he took first with a time of 40.53 seconds, which was .42 of a second faster than the next closest runner.
Austin junior Andrew Hagan took second in the shot put and third in the discus. Hagan earned All Big Nine honors in the shot put and Big Nine honorable mention in the discus and he is the first Austin thrower in a decade to achieve that feet.

Austin sophomore Quinn Brunner set a personal best by 20 seconds when he took sixth in the 3200-meter run.
The Packers finished with a team score of 82 and Winona won the meet with a score of 194.
