Clifford Eugene Wold, 85, Pinole

Clifford Eugene Wold, 85, of Pinole, Calif., died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at home.

Clifford was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Austin, Minn., to Harvey and Mary (Duffy) Wold. He attended high school in Austin and later went to the Milwaukee Institute of Engineering. He married Vera (O’Bryan) Wold July 8, 1948 in St. Francis, S.D.

Clifford worked at Hormel in Austin, and also at Del Monte in Emerville, Calif., and C&H Sugar in Vallejo, Calif. He was a member of the Moose Club, VFW, Indian Guides, and was a scout master of the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed traveling and owned a rollercade and Wold Electric. In his free time, he liked to collect coins and other items.

Clifford is survived by his daughter, Rosemary (Dan) Yoerns of Phoenix, Ariz.; sons, Brian (Debbie) Wold of San Pablo, Calif., Leo (Vicky) Wold of Mason City, Iowa, and Jerry (Jeannie) Wold of Pittsburg, Calif; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Wold; sister, Janice Lestrud; mother, Mary Wold; father, Harvey Wold; and granddaughter Rachael Ellis.

A service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
