Dale Hubbard, 81

Dale Hubbard, 81, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, in his home with family at his bedside. Dale is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Cora Hubbard; brother Chuck Hubbard; wife of 52 years Marylou Hubbard, and grandson, Phillip Hubbard.
Dale is survived by his sister Margaret (Charlie) Voss of Mission, Texas; sons Randy Hubbard of Fayetteville, Ga. and Bruce Hubbard of Logan, N.M.; daughter, Lori (Steve) Bawek of Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren, Dustin Bawek of Lakewood, Colo., Sara (Patrick) Jones of Littleton, Colo., Randy Dale Hubbard of Fayetteville, Rachel Hubbard of Fayetteville, Jesse (Michelle) Bawek of West Des Moines, Iowa; great-grandchildren Evan Jones, Connor Bawek, Alex Bawek and Joslin Bawek.
Dale served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954 during which time he met and married Marylou Pump. They were married in Las Vegas, Nev., March 1, 1954, before returning to their home town of Austin, Minn. They raised three children.
Dale worked at Hormel for 30 years before retiring from the company. After he retired, they moved to Mission, Texas, where Dale enjoyed playing golf and cards with family and friends. Dale also enjoyed taking trips to different casinos where he participated in many Texas Hold’em poker tournaments.
Dale was a member of the Legion Club, Eagles Club and Moose Club.

A memorial will be held at a later date in Mission, Texas for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org/donate.
