The skies cleared, and people showed up in healthy numbers for this year’s Breakfast on the Farm, held last weekend near Adams.

Owners Jim and Connie Sathre hosted more than 800 people who ate breakfast, among a couple hundred more who joined simply for the fun. The weather was a little windy and cool, but that couldn’t stop curious visitors from exploring the farm.

“We had an excellent turnout,” Connie said. “It was just a really good day.”

The Sathres own a crop and hog farm near Adams, and they also raise goats. Among their animals and equipment, sights included antique and modern tractors, many breeds of animals, a scavenger hunt and other displays.

“We had a lot of different animals,” Connie added. “The kids had fun doing the scavenger hunt.”

Jim and Connie were both glad they held the event. Jim said years from now, they may host it again.

Breakfast on the Farm is held every year and is hosted by the Mower County Farm Bureau.

Despite morning rain, people showed up in droves to this year's Breakfast on the Farm at Jim and Connie Sathre's farm. Sights included farm machinery, antiques, animals, games and more.
