The Chamber’s 27th annual Agriculture Appreciation Summer Cookout is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Plager Building on the Mower County Fairgrounds to recognize the contributions of agriculture in the community.
More than 1,000 people attend each year and are served a Hormel Windsor chop dinner, ice cream and refreshments, which members of the Mower County Pork Producers, 4-H and FFA assist in preparing and serving.
Proceeds help support many committee activities, including the 4-H Ribbon Auction, County Dairy Association and the annual “Day on the Farm” student tour in the fall.
Tickets are available for $9 in advance at the Chamber, 329 N. Main Street, or $10 at the door. All are welcome to attend.
