Cheryl A. (Briggs) Clancy, 66, a beloved mother, grandma, sister and friend of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., formerly of Woodbury, Minn., passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 1, 2013, after a long and brave battle with cancer.
Cheryl is survived by her son, Matt (Jen) and grandchildren, Logan and Addison; brothers, Warren Briggs (Dona Klaehn) of Austin, Minn., and Charles Briggs (Phyllis Schulz) of Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; sister, Julie Briggs of Minnetonka, Minn.; loving partner of eight years, Larry DeVries and his children Loren (Kelly) DeVries, Rebecca (Adam) Omelianchuk, and Rachel DeVries (Nick Finberg); extended family including many cousins, nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 8 at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Drive, Woodbury. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday July 7 at the new O’Halloran Murphy-Woodbury Funeral Home, 8700 Valley Creek Road, one block east of Radio Drive, Woodbury, and Monday at the church one hour preceding the service. Memorials preferred. Private burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
