An Austin apartment complex is making big changes over the next few months.
Fair Oaks Apartments will soon change its name after the ownership took on new partners last month, according to manager Kami Fritz.
Fritz said the apartment complex at 200 11th Ave. NW will undergo a variety of changes, including interior and exterior renovations, security cameras, a new lock system, and a parking lot repavement this year.
“Within the year, we’re going to try to knock most of them out and then do more lower priority projects,” Fritz said.
That will include interior renovations for each apartment across the three Fair Oaks buildings and new carpets in the hallways. In addition, each building’s exterior will also be touched up.
Fair Oaks owners have already installed playground and park equipment on adjacent land in order to create a community space, and the complex hosted a large Fourth of July party last week. Fritz said the owners plan on throwing a large party at this year’s National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6, where a new name and logo for the apartments will be announced.
“It’s going to be one of the nicest places in town,” Fritz said.
