The Austin Community Alliance is once again running into issues with Tuesdays on Main.

Organizers have cancelled Tuesdays on Main this Tuesday, July 16, and will only host two more street events this year, on July 23 and Aug. 27. The rest have been cancelled because of funding concerns or a lack of vendors, according to ACA president Kiersten Hall.

“To save money rather than putting a band out on a dead street, and having the vendors mad, [today’s event] has been called off,” Hall said.

Hall said attendance has also shrunk this year, and the event has lost more than 52 vendors over the past month and a half.

The July 23 Tuesdays on Main will have a Halloween in July theme and the Aug. 27 event is Ladies Night. Hall said she is already working on ideas for next year.

“I will forever have the approach of silver linings and the glass half-full mentality,” she said.
