Friends and family of Tony Dooley, a local resident suffering from severe throat cancer, will hold a fundraiser on Sept. 7 at the Eagles Club to help him pay for treatment.
The event is called “Miracle of Music!” and will consist of several programs, including a talent show, bake sale, silent auction, massages and live music.
The talent show will take place from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., and the entry fee is $10. Cash prizes will be awarded.
The bake sale will open at 5 p.m. and various baked goods such as cakes, cookies, brownies and pies donated from the community will be sold.
The silent auction will also begin at 5 p.m. and people are encouraged to donate items for the event, with all proceeds going to Tony Dooley.

Live music will play from 5 p.m. to close, featuring Terry Schmidt, Wayne Nordstrom, the Robin Breeze Band, The Heart of Gold Band, Seeds and Adam Wayne and the West River Band.
