Fleiner takes first as Packer girls tennis team opens season in Mankato

MANKATO — The Austin girls tennis team opened its season at the six-team Mankato Round Robin tennis invite Tuesday.
Austin’s Alicia Sforza went 4-1 at No. 1 singles and Megan Fleiner went 4-1 at No. 2 singles. Fleiner finished first in No. 2 singles.
Jennifer Bogle went 2-3 for Austin at No. 3 singles, and Maggie Leif went 2-3 at No. 4 singles.
The No. 1 doubles team of Abbey Ball and Emily Johannsen went 3-2, the No. 2 doubles team of Brianna Fritz and Maggie Trom went 2-3 and the No. 3 doubles team of Anna Bachmeier and Elizabeth Ettinger went 4-1.
