Hounds knocked off by Bandits at state

MAPLE LAKE — The Austin Greyhounds had their season come to an end at the Class ‘B’ state tournament when they lost to the Eagan Bandits 7-6 in Maple Lake Friday.
The Bandits scored four runs in the eighth inning to take the lead for good.
Austin committed four errors in the loss, including a throwing error that allowed two runs in the eighth.
“It was a tough way to go out,” Hounds manager John Frein said. “We feel we could have gotten a few more state tourney wins.”
