Learn how to utilize grains in a health diet

You can add whole grains to your meals without cooking, simply by choosing breads, breakfast cereals, and other prepared whole grain foods.

Hear about easy ways to get your whole-grain servings at breakfast, lunch and snack time at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Deb Rentfrow is doing a food demonstration on cooking with grains at the Senior Center.

Rentfrow is the Community Nutrition Educator from the University of Minnesota Extension Mower County. This will be a fun, interactive class on the use of inexpensive, healthy whole grains in meals.

Participants will learn the history of grains, the science of grains, play the World Grain quiz and taste a food made with whole grain.
