Mower County Habitat and Pheasants Forever have partnered with the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to offer a prairie tour on local restoration projects.
The tour, this Thursday, is free and open to the public.
A group will listen to Shawn Schottler, prairie restoration expert, and Jeff Port, wildlife research biologist, beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday at the nature center. The group will then tour the nature center and Schottler Wildlife Management Area.
Schottler and Port will lead the tour and talk about plants the group encounters, along with wildlife research.
