Two Austin buildings are damaged after alleged break-ins reported on Monday.
It appears St. Augustine’s Church and the Maya Liquor store were both burglarized.
A person discovered several doors broken at St. Augustine’s church before 7 p.m. Monday. According to the police report, the southwest doors were forced open, a northwest door was open but not damaged and another door inside the building had been kicked and broken. The damage estimate is $600. However, church members have not reported any missing items and are doing an inventory.
Also on Monday, the owner of a repair service, connected to Maya Liquor, reported someone had broken into the liquor store. The liquor store has been closed since Aug. 1. The police report states someone threw a large chunk of concrete and smashed out the front doors. It appeared several bottles of liquor were missing. The owner will also have to complete an inventory.
There are no suspects in either case.
