Brownsdale Police Chief Jason Mindrup has been placed on administrative leave after council members received a complaint from a resident.

Mindrup was placed on leave after the Sept. 3 city council meeting. Mayor David Pike couldn’t release further details about the nature of the complaint but assured law enforcement will continue in Brownsdale.

“The city of Brownsdale is working with the sheriff’s department to provide day-to-day protection,” he told the Herald last week.

The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is handling the matter.
