The Awesome Blossoms capped an undefeated season and an outright Gopher Conference championship when they beat Faribault Bethlehem Academy (5-3 overall, 2-3 Gopher) in BP Friday.

Jake Decker ran for 106 yards and three touchdowns for the Awesome Blossoms (8-0 overall, 5-0 Gopher).

“It’s a huge accomplishment (to go unbeaten),” BP head coach Chad Gimbel said. “We felt like we had one of the toughest schedules we’ve ever had.”

The BP defense allowed 295 yards, but it made a couple of key defensive stops on fourth down.

It is BP’s first unbeaten regular season since 2007.
