An infant and 40-year-old woman, both from Austin, went to the hospital Tuesday morning after another driver struck the vehicle they were in.

The woman and child were reportedly westbound on Oakland Avenue when a 17-year-old Austin girl, northbound on Fifth Street, ran a stop sign and collided with them. According to the report, the 17-year-old wasn’t sure what happened, but a witness confirmed the accident report.

The report did not state the extent of injuries to the woman and child.
