The Hayfield football team fell to Chatfield (6-1 overall, 6-1 SFA Blue) 25-7 in Hayfield Saturday.

The Vikings (3-3 overall, 3-3 SFA Blue) jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when Cole Kruger hauled in an 8-yard TD pass from Cam Rutledge.

Hayfield gained 268 yards and Chatfield 293 yards on the night.

“Penalties and turnovers cost us,” Hayfield head coach Andrew Weiers said.
