Three area cross country runners qualified for state at the Section 1A cross country meet in Northern Hills Golf Course in Rochester Tuesday.

Pacelli seventh grader Kayla Christopherson took 10th to earn her first career state meet berth in the girls race and GMLOS junior McKenzie Kirtz took third to get to the state meet.

Pacelli’s Myra Kraemer also had a good showing as she finished in 14th place.

Hayfield junior Gabe Tempel earned his second straight trip to state as he finished in seventh place.
