Rebel football team falls to Goodhue

The Southland football team lost 22-6 to Goodhue (2-4 overall, 2-4 SFA Blue) in Adams Saturday.
The Rebels (1-6 overall, 1-6 SFA Blue) trailed 22-0 at the half after a they threw a pair of costly interceptions in the first half.
Southland now has 29 turnovers in seven games.
“You take away those two interruptions and its a 6-6 game, but that’s kind of been the nature of the beast for us this year,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said.
The Rebels played a much better second half, but they had just 167 yards of offense on the day.
“Our defense was phenomenal in the second half,” Kennedy said.
