Two teens arrested, one hospitalized after alleged knife attack

Two teens were arrested Sunday morning, and another was taken to the hospital after reporting he was assaulted with a knife.
Austin police went to the 300 block of 12th Place Northwest before 2 a.m. Sunday where the victim reported his 18-year-old girlfriend and her 16-year-old brother assaulted him. According to the police report, the victim had numerous lacerations on both legs and required stitches. The report added the girl punched and hit the victim, and the 16-year-old boy cut him with a bowie knife.
Police arrested the girl and later found her brother in the 400 block of Fourth Street Southwest where he was hiding in an attic. They also found the knife in a cornfield near Fourth Drive Southwest and County Road 28.
Police took the boy to Many Rivers Detention Center. He may face second-degree assault charges.
