William J. “Bill” Grover II, 45, of Adams, Minn., died peacefully Friday evening, Oct. 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
He was born Aug. 14, 1968, to William and Mary (Heard) Grover at St. Olaf Hospital in Austin, Minn. He graduated from Austin High School in 1987, and went on to college where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. Bill was employed as a diesel mechanic for Advanced Disposal. He was known as Uncle Buck by his four nephews and three nieces who loved him dearly. Bill had many cousins who felt his brotherly love toward them. Many friends who also felt that same love and loved him back as a brother. He enjoyed barbecuing, playing golf and going fishing with his friends and family.
Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Grover, of Preston, Minn.; and son, James Grover, of Adams, Minn.; parents, William and Mary Grover, of Adams; sisters, Jackie (Mike) Gottberg of Mankato, Minn.; Ann (Mike) Langstaff of Mapleview, Minn.; Judy (Joe) Stewart of Dodge Center, Minn.; and Sally Froman, of St. Clair. Special friends, April Pineda (Tasia, Treymant and Tayce) and Claudia Greenhouse. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Crane Community Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dale Christianson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, it is preferred that memorials be directed to the family.
